Rufus privacy policy

Rufus is designed to work without an account. Blue Chimp Ltd. does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information through the app.

Information stored on your device

Bookmarks, reading history, reading position, preferences, and downloaded RFC documents are stored locally on your device. You can clear downloads and reading history from Settings.

Network access

Rufus connects to RFC Editor services to update the RFC index and retrieve documents. Those services may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and request details under their own policies.

Purchases

Rufus Pro and optional tips are processed by Apple. Blue Chimp Ltd. receives transaction status needed to unlock a purchase, but does not receive your payment-card details.

Analytics and advertising

Rufus does not contain third-party advertising, tracking SDKs, or developer-operated analytics.

Children

Rufus does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version and effective date will be published on this page.
